I'm alive

Oh man, I did not post for the entire month of August! I'm a terrible person, I know. My only defense that for many reasons the lack of posting has been job related. Speaking of which...

Tomorrow is my last day at my current job! In one week I start at another firm in DC, doing financial regulatory work, which is what I want to do and I can't really do it full-time at the place I'm at right now. I'm nervous about starting somewhere new but excited to mix things up and have a new challenge.

My grandma has been in and out of the hospital for the last six months, and she's back in right now. It's been pretty sucky.

Yay for fall tv starting soon! I went through and reset my dvr so it's up-to-date for the new season, I didn't add too many shows to the mix but there are a few I want to give a shot. I'll try to post about them and let you know how I think the fall season in general is going. Not like you care, but at least it'd be a blog post!

I'm going to South Bend this weekend for a wedding, my fourth one there! This one isn't at Notre Dame though, the couple getting married is actually from South Bend, so at least it'll be a little different from the other weddings I've been to there.

Andy and I are doing the coolest thing ever in October. Well, it's two coolest things ever. We are going to the Beauty and the Beast Sing-A-Long at the movie theater the first weekend in October, and a few weeks after, the Sound of Music Sing-A-Long!! Try not to be insanely jealous. Oh wait, too late? I figured. I heart Belle!

You know what else I heart? Cal football! Sure, UC Davis and Colorado aren't the biggest challenges in the world but so far we're averaging 52 points a game so at least we're blowing out lesser opponents rather than squeaking by. So take that, people who predicted us seventh in the Pac-10. Ok, we're only two games into the season so maybe I shouldn't be saying that yet, but at least it's a good start.

Speaking of the Pac-10, I like the Pac-10. Not the Pac-12. And definitely not this whole splitting it into two divisions thing with the California schools not all together! One of the things I have always liked and respected about the Pac-10 is that we always play every team in our conference, which a lot of conferences don't do and I think it's kind of crappy not to. This ruins that! So that's a big reason why I don't like it.

I have all of next week off so maybe I'll be good and post more stuff then I've been meaning to talk about. Or maybe I'll just post about new tv! Or maybe I'll get distracted with my craft projects and forget all together. How will it turn out, so exciting!!!
